With another year having flown by, it's hard to believe the holidays are here!

The holidays of 2021 are particularly special as many will be gathering with loved ones again after a year of hunkering down at home.

To kick off the very special season, the Krista Schumacher Art Gallery will be hosting a 2-day holiday event Joy to the Parks celebrating the release of Krista's signature 12 Days of Christmas petite collection.

This year's collection will feature the 12 Days of National Parks. A holiday exclusive, these 12 petite works will each depict a unique National Park. These 12 pieces will be available to see in person during the 2-day event and make unique and thoughtful gifts for anyone inspired by the beauty of nature.

Joy to the Parks welcomes friends, family, and collectors to the pop-up gallery at 1113 Wall St. in La Jolla Friday Nov. 26th and Saturday Nov. 27th from 9am-9pm.

This year, we've also rounded up the ultimate list of gift options for everyone on your list. From art collectors to creative kids, there's something for everyone from Krista Schumacher Art.

Krista's unique alla prima, palette knife style brings her landscape and abstract subjects to life. Her original oil paintings featuring her signature heavy-texture and bold colors are impactful at every size.

To gift original art for the holidays, please place orders by December 1 to allow time for shipping.

Every holiday season, Krista releases her iconic "12 Days of Christmas" petite collection. This year, the theme is 12 Days of National Parks featuring landscapes from parks across the United States.

All the works are original 12"x12" palette knife oil paintings, framed in a silver leaf floater frame. A personalized note is included, making this the perfect gift option for anyone looking to support local businesses this holiday season.

The collection will be released online at 6PM PT this Thanksgiving. To see the collection in person, visit the Krista Schumacher Art Gallery for our Joy to the Parks signature holiday event. The works will be on display at the gallery until Dec. 6th.

Petite works from the 12 Days of Christmas collection will be shipped on Dec. 6th.

Hotel del Coronado is a print of Krista's iconic original painting of the hotel. The Hotel Del Coronado, located in Coronado, California, is one of the most iconic resort hotels in the world.

These prints measure 18"H x 24"W (inclusive of the 2" white border) and are printed on Epson cold press paper with a matte textured finish.

The Hotel Del Coronado prints are shipped in a mailing tube with a protective glassine covering. Free shipping is including with each print.

The original artwork, done in collaboration with the Hotel Del Coronado and Hilton, was completed in 2020.

Krista works with clients on custom commissions to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces of art. This opportunity provides not only a unique and exclusive work, but one-on-one collaboration and direct communication with the artist.

Inspiration for commissions generally comes from previous works completed by Krista, or inspired by the client's own photographs.

Commissions provide a perfect way to materialize a sentimental place and an opportunity to work directly with Krista, making meaningful and adventurous gifts.

If you're interesting in gifting a commission but want input from the recipient, gift cards are also available.

Originally from Niceville, FL, Schumacher began her career as an elementary school art teacher with the help of her tabby cat, Lucy. Together, the two created the "Lucy Loves Art" YouTube series to inspire the next generation of young artists.

Lucy Loves Art is a hardcover book written by artist and cat lover, Krista Schumacher. This upbeat, colorful story follows the adventures of Lucy, the art cat, as she sneaks into her mom's art studio.

Schumacher's story encourages all children to discover their inner artist and makes a great gift for creative kids looking to learn more about art.
